General Terms & Conditions of Sale

1. Scope

These general conditions of sale apply to all sales made on the editions-bpi.fr website, subject to the special conditions indicated in the presentation of the products.

These conditions are subject to change at any time without notice by the site administrator.

2. Description of items

The website editions-bpi.fr offers for sale intellectual works in physical form (in particular printed books) but also digital (ebooks, audio books, etc.).

The digital books (or e-books) sold on editions-bpi.fr are digital files containing intellectual works intended to be downloaded to be read on electronic terminals.

Both printed and digital works are protected by French and international copyright laws. In the absence of a license specifying other conditions of use, the downloaded files are reserved for the exclusive use of the purchaser. They may not be resold, rented, printed or transmitted free of charge beyond his family circle and the legitimate needs of his private use; any representation or reproduction of these files, total or partial, outside the cases provided for by article L122-5 of the intellectual property code, is strictly prohibited and would expose their holder to prosecution.

In order to protect the rights of authors without restricting the use of downloaded files by those who have legitimately acquired them, all items purchased on this site are personalized with data from the customer (surname, first name, e-mail address), via marking digital dynamically affixed on each page or inside the digital file.

3. Orders

All orders are placed exclusively via the editions-bpi.fr website. Payment is made when ordering.

The customer must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity or hold parental authorization to place an order on editions-bpi.fr.

The click on the "Pay" button on the screen which summarizes the order and the explicit acceptance by a dialog box of these general conditions of sale, constitutes an electronic signature which expressly certifies the unreserved consent of the customer to these general conditions. of sale and the special conditions (in particular the unit price) specific to each file purchased. The customer therefore waives the right to rely on any contradictory document and, in particular, his own general conditions of purchase.

The customer can abandon his order until the validation of the payment of his order.

For security reasons, each order basket is limited to a maximum amount of €200.00 including tax, and the number of orders per customer is limited to 3 per 7 days. These ceilings can be modified on simple request of the user.

Any order with a fraud risk profile can be blocked by the admin at the payment stage.

4. Availability of items

Items are normally available to the customer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. The administrator of this site nevertheless reserves the right to temporarily close access without notice.

It can not be held responsible for technical problems independent of its service, such as connection problems due to Internet service providers or computer problems due to the customer's hardware or software.

5. Price

The prices of the products are deemed to be net in euros, all taxes included and excluding postage for printed works. All orders are invoiced in euros and payable in euros when ordering.

Due to the impossibility of verifying the customer's domicile for orders including digital works, the French VAT of 5.5% is applied to all digital works. 5.5% VAT applies to all printed works.

Printed books are sold in compliance with the applicable provisions and more particularly the Lang law on the single price of the book, the latter, excluding postage, being fixed by the publisher. For any delivery outside Metropolitan France, any customs fees or local taxes remain the responsibility of the recipient.

6. Shipping costs

The shipping costs include a contribution to the costs of preparation, packaging and postage. They are fixed, made up of a fixed part and a part which varies according to the number of items ordered and their weight. Only the geographical area and the shipping method chosen by you cause the

The price is payable in full and in a single payment when ordering.

Payment for purchases is made by bank card via the E-Transactions system. The bank transaction is carried out at the time of the order.

Upon validation of the means of payment used by the buyer of the credit card, the order is confirmed and can no longer be canceled or refunded.

8. Delivery

Whatever the country of destination, the delivery of printed works is always made to the address indicated when ordering. The delivery time includes the time of preparation of the package increased by the time of routing by the carrier.

The delivery of digital works acquired on this site is made by downloading. A few minutes after payment of the order, an email is sent to the customer with one or more single-use download links allowing the works to be loaded onto their computer. These download links have a lifespan of 48 hours. Beyond this period, if the customer has not downloaded the file, he may request that a new link be sent from his personal space.

9. Warranty, return and refund

Product Warranty

New items supplied on this site are guaranteed against any defect. However, if one of them is defective or non-compliant, you have 15 days to return the product to us in their original cellophane packaging or by email if it is a digital medium. Upon receipt of the defective work, a new item will be sent to you if it is a printed work or is available for download for digital works.

Right to retract

For material works (printed books) you have a right of return. For whatever reason, you can return an item to us within 15 days of receipt of your package (must be in its original cellophane packaging).

Purchases of digital media are firm and final. They cannot give rise to any exchange, refund or right of withdrawal.

10. Protection of your personal data - GDPR

The information requested from our customers is for some necessary for the proper processing of orders, and for others, useful to know our customers better and thus improve the services offered on this site.

Customer files and the processing to which they are subject are carried out in compliance with the law relating to data processing, files and freedoms of 06 January 1978 as well as the (European) General Data Protection Regulation ( GDPR) n° 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 and implemented on May 25, 2018.

Thus, if you are registered on the site, you have the possibility at any time to exercise the following rights:

  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) of personal data.

11. Liability

editions-bpi.fr disclaims all liability in the event of non-performance of the contract due to a case of force majeure (strike, flood, fire, etc.).

editions-bpi.fr cannot be held responsible for the content of the sites on which its products are referenced.

The products offered comply with the French legislation in force. Editions-bpi.fr cannot be held liable in the event of non-compliance with the legislation of the country where the product is shipped or downloaded. It is up to the buyer to check with the competent local authorities the possibilities of use of the products ordered.

12. Applicable law

These general conditions of sale are subject to French law. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts for the geographical area where the registered office of the administrator of this site is located.
